Community & Charities
Good things happen when people come together to help others; it is what connects us and what community is all about.
Healthtree is more than just a store – we are people serving our community and part of that service is giving back to those in need.

World Wildlife Fund
World Wildlife Fund is dedicated to stopping the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by (1) conserving the world’s biological diversity, (2) ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and (3) promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
Refuge RR (Rescue, Rehabilitate) is a provincially registered, charitable organization which rescues, rehabilitates and provides permanent homes for abused, neglected and/or abandoned animals. We provide refuge for animals who are no longer considered “of use” to some humans or who are simply unwanted beings. We save animals from slaughter as well as from being put down for said reasons. Through our newsletters, flyers, and posters we strive to create public awareness of the often cruel practices within different sectors of the animal industry. At the same time we hope to change attitudes towards old or infirm animals, so people may realize that they all have a value beyond what they can do for us. They are an end unto themselves.
